Windsurf: British Slalom Windsurf Champs 2016 – round two, Hayling Island

It was a predominantly light wind affair this weekend. But that didn’t deter the healthy number of sailors who all made the pilgrimage to Hayling Island, on the south coast, for round two of the British Slalom Windsurf Champs.

Skies were gloomy and overcast on Saturday morning, although a moderate southerly wind was blowing early doors. Mother Nature, however, decided she had other ideas and although there was some weekend water action it wasn’t to be. But if you don’t go, you don’t know, right?

This edit from Pete and Zara Davis pretty sums up proceedings and highlights how fun these events can be, even if wind doesn’t always materialise.
