Hayling Island outrigger gliding with John Galilee

As many will no doubt be aware Hayling Island – on the UK’s south coast – is home to SUP Mag UK and delivers a wide and varied range of conditions. From surf to downwind, flat water touring and everything else in between, it’s available depending on weather conditions. And let’s not forget Hayling is the birth place of windsurfing and has a huge fraternity of kitesurfers – basically a magnet for all watesports nuts.

But it’s not just stand up paddle boarders who are swinging a blade. These days you’ll find a small but healthy crew of outrigger enthusiasts. Here’s local OC1 rider John Galilee on a seriously long downwind glide from a few days ago – awesome!
