SUP: The SUP Company has moved!

The SUP Company is pleased to announce they have now opened a new retail centre at Woodmill Outdoor Activities Centre in the quiet upper reaches of the Itchen River, 5 minutes off junction 5 of the M27 on the outskirts of Southampton City centre. This new retail centre see’s The SUP Company perfectly positioned to introduce Stand Up Paddle Boarding to the residents of Southampton and further afield on three separate neighbouring water ways – the tidal Itchen River, the depth maintained section of the upper Itchen River which runs alongside Riverside Park and finally the private woodland lake within Woodmill Outdoor Activities Centre. Tony Jones, Managing Director of The SUP Company comments “Moving this close to the water is a dream come true – it’s the perfect venue for people of all ages and abilities to try Stand Up Paddling Boarding for the first time as well as existing paddlers looking to develop their skills – in a safe and accessible location.”

From The SUP Company’s new home, they will be offering 7 day a week hire of Stand Up Paddleboards from as little as £12 per hour on a range of inflatable paddleboards from Red Paddle Co and Starboard SUP. A weekly ‘SUP’per Club’ has also started on Tuesday evenings from 1900 to 2030hrs, while SUP Yoga will take place every Wednesday evening from 1900 to 2000hrs on the lake.

For those considering purchasing a Stand Up Paddleboard, The SUP Company have also opened test centres for Red Paddle Co and Starboard SUP. For the very time, these test centres allow those on the South Coast to find their perfect SUP, as customers can test the entire range of Red Paddle Co inflatable paddleboards and paddles back to back. As well as a range of popular hard and inflatable SUP models with various sizes and types of paddles from Starboard. These include a number different sizes of Starboard SUP’s hugely popular Starboard Allstar. To celebrate the opening of their new store, The SUP Company are hosting an Open Day on the 4th June.
