Windsurf: The knowledge – Simon Winkley (pro coach) partners with Windsurfing UK

All round nice chap and pro coach Simon Winkley has partnered with Windsurfing UK to deliver a series of  windsurfing knowledge based articles in 2017 and beyond.

Having received great  feedback for our first issue there were also numerous calls for informative stories about the ‘science’ of windsurfing – and we’re only too happy to oblige. Topics such as understanding how you plane right through to the differences between five, four and three batten sails are just some of the areas that Simon will be addressing, with the help from renowned illustrator (in places) Pete Galvin.

Simon is perfectly position to deliver these articles with his extensive experience running instructor courses and coaching windsurfing to sailors from all walks of life. Windsurfing UK is stoked to welcome Simon along – stay tuned for the first of his knowledge pieces appearing in the New Year issue of Windsurfing UK.
