Broadening out their product range, Dorset-based Saltie Sports’ recycled materials change robe is a lovely-looking robe designed to be less impactful on the environment. 

The first thing to note is how snugly and comfortably warm the Saltie Elite change robe is. I’ve used many different types from various brands, and the Saltie is right up there. It’s lovely to climb into post-session, that’s for sure.

Made from recycled materials and not using any environmentally harmful compounds is a big tick in the box. Fit is also great with the heavy-duty, two-way, YKK zipper coming up high to cover the wearer’s face. Those who know will be aware of my penchant for wind sports. When any breeze blows, the Saltie Elite is a great garment to protect yourself from the howling wind. It’s awesome for wearing while getting set up.

I particularly like the deep and secure pockets of the Elite. This was another plus when storing things like bolt wrenches and screws whilst tuning and tweaking kit settings. There’s no issue with warmth, but also, due to the robe being breathable, you don’t end up sweating. After all, being toasty is one thing, but being damp and sweaty isn’t nice.
