What if we told you there’s a Parkrun for paddlers?
We don’t know about you, but we’re always looking for new places and people to paddle with. Well, look no further than AquaPaddle.
quaPaddle events are linked to Parkrun. They are a free-timed 5km challenge on the water. They provide the opportunity for kayakers, canoeists, and stand up paddle boarders to get together on the water to have fun, enjoy nature, and improve skills, fitness, and wellbeing. These social paddles occur on weekends across the UK and suit all crafts and abilities. There are 35 (and growing!) locations across the UK.
Visit the AquaPaddle website to find an event near you: www.aquapaddle.org/locations.
Paddle UK are proudly supporting AquaPaddle for a second year following a fun and successful 12 months. We’ll continue to support them with funding for safety equipment and crew kit and help them expand to new locations across the UK so even more people can get involved.

“Providing a secure environment for our events instils confidence in participants, encouraging their active involvement even during the challenging winter months. Many have said that without AquaPaddle, they wouldn’t have ventured out to paddle in winter. Thus, AquaPaddle, with the backing of Paddle UK, promotes physical and mental health throughout all the seasons. Thank you, Paddle UK – we cherish our partnership.”
Brett Scillitoe, AquaPaddle founder.
AquaPaddle tourism has also gained interest, with paddlers from one location visiting other locations. The events are ideal for beginners at paddling right through to experienced paddlers. So, if you want to meet new people and improve your fitness in a safe environment, why not join in on one near you this weekend?
